My Therapeutic Approach
Whether I am guiding a client on a journey, engaged in talk therapy or collaborating with a bodyworker on deep mind/body healing and somatic release, my emphasis is on establishing a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring the depths of their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. I believe that, irrespective of modality, the therapeutic process is deeply personal and unique to each individual. I strive to create an environment where clients always feel empowered and can express themselves authentically and without reservation.

Central to my approach is the belief in the power of collaboration. I see my work as a partnership between myself, my clients, the medicine (if applicable), and other healers we may decide together to bring into the mix. We work as a team to identify areas of focus, challenges and aspirations. By actively involving my clients in the therapeutic process, I am able to better ensure that their specific treatment or coaching plans are tailored to specific needs, preferences, and goals. Ultimately, I am a companion and guide on my clients’ healing journey, but my clients have total agency and responsibility for their own experience.

Throughout our work together, I endeavor to always provide compassionate guidance and support, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions. Whether cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness and sacred sexuality practices, or psychodynamic exploration, I adapt my approach to best meet the needs of each couple or individual client. My goal is to proactively offer my clients tools and insights that help them navigate the most difficult challenges around sex, intimacy and relationships – breaking bad habits, cultivating resilience, rising to new heights, and setting firmly on a path of ongoing, positive transformation and fulfillment in their lives.
While I believe we all need to “do the work”, I also believe the “work” should be fun – at least some, if not most of the time. I try to bring a lightness of being to my work with clients. Since I see my role as a hybrid between a therapist and a coach, I don’t shy away from giving my opinion, based on my experience and expertise. I stick with my clients through the toughest of slogs, and take joy in the breakthroughs together.
I have a special affinity for – and expertise around – couples and individuals exploring new avenues of sexual expression and alternative relationship structures.
